Living Advent Calendar 2016
After a beautiful sunny day in Henley, it was a calm and idyllic (albeit very cold!) night by the river at Leander, and the balcony once again played stage this time to Bathroom Acoustics. Frontman Lance Gerard-Wright was joined on vocals by his sister-in-law, and the band treated another large and enthusiastic audience to classics such at “Nine to Five” by Dolly Parton, “Freedom” by George Michael and “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol...
Day 2 of the Living Advent took the event to Friday Street amidst the annual Henley Christmas Fayre.
Performing to a large and enthusiastic atmosphere, Highly Strung created a real party atmosphere, playing an extended set including Elton John’s “Rocket Man”, Paul Simon’s “Me & Julio” and Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl”...
The 2016 Living Advent Calendar kicked off early in Falaise Square when the children of Badgemore Primary School entertained the audience with some festive classics in front of the Christmas tree before Dave Eggleton in his “Cavalier” alter ego welcomed the audience and talked about Henley’s history. Mayor Brookes then introduced the night’s surprise performer, the Youthful Orchestra.
