A 'Big Bad Wolf' Was Seen at Henely College on December the 17th

Last evening's Henley Living Advent Calendar took place at the The Henley College, with entertainment from the Acorn Music Theatre Company. They performed their own rather dark and witty version of the children's classic 'Little Red Riding Hood' and 'the three little pigs'. There must have been around 40 children from little-uns to teens in various roles, each very unique in costume and character, a real feast for the eyes, if not a little eerie at times.

It wasn't long before the evening's partner, interior designer Niki Schafer arrived, along with Town Counsellor Sam Evans from Humphreys of Henley, having transported pots of hot cider and German gingerbread biscuits to our venue for the evening the Henley College. Niki donated a copy of her new book as a raffle prize, and Humphreys of Henley produced a large and beautiful box of tricks as a second raffle prize, to accompany our third prize, which was a family photo shoot courtesy of Barrett & Coe in Caversham.

A wonderful turn out the evening, around 150 people, of all ages, and that they all enjoyed the performance, and were crowded high and low to watch the event and magical unfold. Tonight's event will take place at Simmons and Sons, 6:15 p.m. So be sure to attend, and help support the four local charities.
