Tonight has been my first night attending the Living Advent Calender and i am impressed. The atmosphere was great, bitterly cold but mince pies and other picky bits were available for me to munch on whilst watching the performance. A very funny one too! It had been great to see the firemen (and women) getting involved with their great version of 12 days of Christmas. Everyone around me, as well as myself, were chuckling away as the 'lead vocalist' as he sung away. I can't seem to shake the line '5 FIRE ENGINES!' from my head- the way he was singing was great!

The children were really excited at the fact they were allowed a roam around in the fire engine- a little Christmas treat.

Towards the end of the event I had a chat with one of the firemen, Terry. "We wanted to get involved with the community," he explained and continued to describe the night in one word "...Interesting." I agree with that statement!!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it had been really nice to see everyone in the Christmas spirit.
