High Spirits Despite Freezing Weather

High Spirits Despite Freezing Weather

Freezing temperatures and an icy breeze greeted the audience for Day 8 of the Living Advent in the Courtyard behind the Bull on Bell Street. That did not deter the spirit of the audience of around 75 people who donated generously to the night’s charity Headway Thames Valley.

With mince pies courtesy of partners BNI Regatta, the audience were treated to an up tempo set from local favourites Highly Strung. The audience heartily joined in with classics “Dakota” by Stereophonics and “Paint it Black” by the Rolling Stones.

David Haimes, vice president of BNI Regatta then thanked the audience before Richard Rodway presided over the nightly raffle

“It was so cold tonight so thanks to Ian Desmond, Bill and all the guys for persevering and for the audience so heartily making sure it was another great night, and another great night for tonight’s charity” said Richard Rodway. Another £231.76 (another record collection on a Living Advent night at the venue) was added to the total raised which has now moved to approaching £2,200.00 in the first 8 days.
