No fluke it was a great night

No fluke it was a great night

The cricket club pavilion was packed for night 14, and rightly so due to the mix of festive delights awaiting the audience. Lawlors The Bakers were partnering for the evening, and as well as serving delicious mince pies and other baked goodies and hot drinks, had a fab pop-up Christmas shop. The audience were then treated to a terrific set by Living Advent favourites Pure Fluke, who on this occasion were accompanied by local ukulele legend Sam Brown. The uplifting set ranged from “Black Horse & the Cherry Tree” to “Wagon Wheel” via great versions of Upside Down by Paloma Faith, Paint it Black by the Rolling Stone, Fairytale of New York, and Rocketman by Elton John, amongst others. The spirited and appreciative audience gave generously as a result, the night’s good cause to benefit being Wyfold Riding for the Disabled, and making it the most ever raised at the Cricket Club on a Living Advent night.

Next up, d:two for night #15.
