Lots of happy Henley faces turn out for Face of Henley on night #12

Lots of happy Henley faces turn out for Face of Henley on night #12

The Living Advent returned to Christ Church for the first time in 3 years, and Hugh Legh lit the church up beautifully. With a swirling snow storm created outside, a very festive scene was created and drew in a crowd of around 100 in support on this occasion of ‘Face of Henley’.

The hosts having kindly warmed every one with some festive mulled wine, Richard Rodway welcomed everybody and introduced Sarah Findall from the charity and then opened the double doors to the foyer of the church building, revealing the 8 vocalists and pianist of HAODs who lie in wait behind.

The group performed a festive set of uplifting classics such as Santa Baby and Jingle Bell Rock, and some more moving traditional pieces such as Carol of the Bells.

After Richard Rodway and Sarah Findall presided over the raffle with prizes including dinner at the Greyhound and hair salon treatments from Che, Reverand Glynn Millington thanked the audience and invited them in from the cold to share in some more refreshments, with Tesco having kindly partnered.

Next up, the Living Advent moves on to Hotel du Vin, with a very special collaboration with giant of the Henley on Thames festival calendar, the Henley Literary Festival.
