Friday 13^th was actually a very lucky day for Henley’s Living Advent Calendar. Not only was the Chairman able to announce that it had won the Prime Minister’s ‘Big Society’ Award, but BBC News also came to cover the event. The Reading Accordion Group entertained the crowd, and got the little ones waltzing and doing the Can Can. Venue Fidelity-Group and Partner The Communications Group joined forces to provide delicious Swedish meatballs , Christmas cake and hot Glogg and drew the Raffle. Although it was the first rainy night of the Calendar so far this year, almost 150 people braved the weather to show TV audiences how much Henley enjoys its annual Living Advent Calendar.
