Strike the harp and join the chorus

A crowd of approaching 100 was treated to traditional carols at Henley College.

Henley Choral Society's choir of around 40, including Mayoress Glynnis Akehurst, were joined for several of the festive songs (including Hark the Herald Angels Sing & O Come All Ye Faithful) by the audience, who had been given song sheets.

Pastries were served be sponsors the Head Partnership Solicitors, and they also donated one of the raffle prizes (bottle of wine), along with the Spice Merchant (meal for two – won by Nicola Taylor of tomorrow night’s partner Lawlors the Bakers) and Friday night’s partner Knight Frank (umbrella).

“With just 10 days to Christmas, it was great to have some traditional carols, and for the audience to be able to play a part in that. Off of the back of a couple of really festive days which have really brought the community together, there’s a lot of Christmas spirit about now, and I’m sure we’ll see more of that tomorrow with Lawlors the Bakers involved.”

Next up, and it is on to Early Rider, with Lawlors the Bakers hosting.
