Henley College - Wednesday 14th

Highlights

The 14th Advent Doors were the sliding glass doors to the main reception at Henley College. The audience were greeted outside by Lawlors Bakers, partners for the evening, serving cake, mince pies and squash.

Inside, the audience were treated to an uptempo jazz set by 8 piece band WotJam, a group from Whitchurch who get together for a “jam”, featuring Anna Del Nevo on violin who we last saw at Living Advent 2014 as part of the Henley Suzuki Violin Group and Corelli Quartet. The band treated the audience to classics such as The Beatles “Fool on the Hill”, Julie London’s “Fly Me To The Moon” and finishing with Herbie Mann’s classic “Comin Home Baby”.

Fundraising on the night was in aid of Oxfordshire Mind, and Mayor Julian Brookes assisted by new Henley College Principal Satwant Deol pulled out the lucky winning tickets, with prizes (hamper, candle and beauty treatment) supplied by the charity and Lawlors Bakery (hamper).

Night #15 sees the event visit Holy Trinity Church for the first time. Local estate agents Penny & Sinclair will also be partnering for the first time. Fundraising will be for Millie’s Dream.

Every evening Dec 1st - 24th, 6:15 to 6:45pm
