Highlights

Day 2 of the Living Advent took the event to Friday Street amidst the annual Henley Christmas Fayre.

Performing to a large and enthusiastic atmosphere, Highly Strung created a real party atmosphre, playing an extended set including Elton John’s “Rocket Man”, Paul Simon’s “Me & Julio” and Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl”.

“Such a fun night” said event organiser Richard Rodway. “The best nights for me are where we really create a party atmosphere and sense of occasion” and I think the band really achieved that tonight, with a crowd that was always going to be in good spirits on such a fun and special Henley night”.

The crowd showed their appreciation with record donations on a Living Advent Christmas Fayre night for the night’s charity Sue Ryder Nettlebed Hospice. Boatique and Hot Gossip kindly supported the night, with Hot Gossip laying on some delicious treats and a kind raffle prize.

Upstairs Downstairs, Henley Literary Festival and The Treatment Rooms at the Red Lion Hotel all kindly had donated raffle prizes also, but no one needed to leave empty handed with warming Living Advent woolly hats being given out.

The snow machine made a welcome to return to action to add to the sense of festive magic.

Guest photographer for the evening was Natasha Franklin, a student at Henley College who caught some great moments.

Every evening Dec 1st - 24th, 6:15 to 6:45pm
