River & Rowing Museum - Monday 4th

Highlights

Another large audience were treated to another warm indoors venue, for the 4th instalment of this year’s event.

The audience congregated in the foyer where they were served mince pies, fizz and soft drinks by Blandy & Blandy. Richard Rodway then welcomed the audience before Reama Shearman spoke of the River & Rowing Museum Charity (the cause for the evening) encouraging the sale of more raffle tickets and donations.

The audience were then led upstairs to the first floor gallery where they congregated 180 degrees round the stage. Richard Rodway then introduced Laura Reineke and announced the night’s performer, the Henley Music School. 10 groups of children from different sections of the school then treated the audience to a range of performances, including some festive classics and a tribute to the work of John Williams with a Stars Wars-Jurassic Park-ET Medley.

“Delighted to see such a big crowd tonight for the children, and for them to have an opportunity to perform at this unique and amazing setting”, said Richard Rodway after the event. “It’s really pleasing to see the spirit and support continuing into the week after a fantastic weekend, with again more money being raised tonight for the charity than we have done at a night at the museum in previous years”

Every evening Dec 1st - 24th, 6:15 to 6:45pm
