On a still, dry but chilly evening (perfect Living Advent outdoor conditions) a large audience congregated in the courtyard at Hotel du Vin for night 6. Kindly sponsored by Niki Schafer Interior Design, the guests were treated to mulled wine and mince pies, and heartily bought raffle tickets in support of the night’s charity, Henley Talking Newspaper.

Richard Rodway having opened proceeding, Richard Hodgkin on behalf of the charity gave some more info about the event, before the students of Shiplake College took the makeshift stage to perform a festive from their wind ensemble.

Starting with “In A Bleak Midwinter”, the audience were encouraged to join in with the carols, including O Come Al Ye Faithful, before finishing with a rousing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas”.

Niki Schafer then presided over the raffle.
