Congo Frog At The Home Of Toad

Congo Frog At The Home Of Toad

Day 20 of the Henley Living Advent took the event to the River & Rowing Museum.

A fundraiser for the museum charity itself, the audience were treated on arrival by partners for the night Davis Tate Estate Agents to wine and mince pies.

Fun musical ensemble Congo Frog Boudoir Band, led by friend of the Advent Martyn Cooper who has previously performed at the event as part of “No Direction HoT Boys”, assembled in the foyer to an audience that packed every bit of the remaining space.

The band oozed fun from their festive attire to their set ranging from the Village People’s “YMCA” to “The Time Warp” via “Monster Mash” and “These Boots Were Made For Walking”.

“Such a fun night” said event organiser Richard Rodway. “I knew we were in for something very entertaining if Martyn was involved. The HoT boys were always so well received, and there were 4 of them, so a band of 10 were always going to be exponentially event more enjoyable”.

After the performance Mr Rodway and Deputy Mayor Will Hamilton presided over the raffle, with an array of prizes donated by the museum. Mr Rodway was pleased to report that the night had been a success in terms of charitable donations too, with more being raised on a River & Rowing Museum night than ever before.

Night 21 now takes the Living Advent to Christ Church where fundraising will be for the Henley Youth Festival.
