Day 10 Showed Us a Glimpse of What the Original Living Advent Calender Could Have Been Like
Tuesday presented a very unique performance on the Terrace of Shaun Dickens' restaurant down by the river. Over 100 people gathered to hear Julie Perigo, Chair of the Living Advent Calendar, & Samantha Leigh of Partners for the evening, Henman Freeth, introduce a group of singers from Badgemore Primary School. And these were no ordinary carol singers: they were dressed in Swedish costume & even sang in Swedish! Mother & Chairman of Badgemore FOBS, Anna Holm, explained that these were traditional advent carols for Saintt Lucia's day. It was a very touching performance, and all the more so as the Henleuy concept of the Living Advent Calendar is based on a version from Stockholm.
