Large crowd joins in for the end of the Living Advent 2014

Nearly 300 people gathered outside Saint Mary's on Christmas Eve for the final night of the Living Advent. Chair Richard Rodway opened festivities, thanking the large audience, the other members of the Living Advent team, the sponsors and other contributors. Extra special thanks to CTC-Asire (U.K.) Ltd.

Mayor Martin Akehurst and Mayoress Glynnis Akehurst then introduced the final performer of the year, the choir of Saint Mary's.

“There was a real sense of collaboration and community tonight, which the Living Advent is all about, with the audience very much singing along with the choir” said Richard Rodway, as the choir performed renditions of ‘Once in Royal David’s City’, ‘Hark the Herald Angel Sings’ and ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ amongst other songs.

Phil Chappell of sponsors GPC Marketing kindly intervened to thank Richard Rodway for his efforts before Richard Rodway wished everyone a very Merry Christmas and drew this year’s Living Advent to a close.
