Highlights

The 7^th instalment of the Living Advent coincided with the annual Henley Christmas Fayre. After introductions from Richard Rodway, Councillor Dave Eggleton, dressed as his cavalier alter ego opened the town hall doors to reveal members of the Henley Symphony Orchestra who set up on the make shift stage of the town hall steps.

They treated the audience to some festive classics and ending with the Jona Lewie hit “Stop the Cavalry”, a fitting choice in light of the night’s cause, Royal British Legion. The generous festive Henley audience meant it was the biggest opening night in terms of donations in the Living Advent’s history, and second biggest night on record.
