Snowfall prevented the night’s planned performance in Falaise Square, and the audience were instead invited into the main hall at the Town Hall. The audience of around 100 people waited expectantly on the stairs where they were met by event organiser Richard Rodway who welcomed them, apologised that the event could not take place outside for “elf and safety” reasons but that at least it was warm and dry indoors. Gill Rushworth from the night’s charity Wyfold Riding for the Disabled then spoke of the work the charity does, before the audience were ushered through the “advent doors” to the main hall.

The audience were greeted by Stephanie Maxwell’s Dancing Divas & Dudes, who treated the audience to some dance performances to some festive classics including Kelly Clarkson’s “Underneath the tree”.

The night was sponsored by Hoopla Property Services, and after the performance Nicky Stevenson from Hoopla thanked the audience and the performers and expressed her enthusiasm for the event and pleasure at being a local business and able to get involved. Richard Rodway then presided over the raffle ably assisted with some members of the Divas & Dudes.

The event now moves on to day #11 at Handelsbanken in the corner of Greys Road Car Park by Greys Road / Duke Street. The performance will take place from a first floor window in true Living Advent style.
