Highlights

The Fire & Rescue team at Henley Fire Station played host to the Living Advent Calendar on 10th December. They put a lot of effort, and a huge amount of fun, into their performance of ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’, which they had rewritten to reflect what the Fire Service has to do over Christmas – with sound effects and ‘visual aids’ too! The Row Barge came round with a few Christmas treats too. After the performance the Crew invited the audience to come and look at the Station, and let the younger ones sit in the fire engine itself. Several youngsters were seen afterwards careering down the hill going “Nee-noo! Nee – noo!” with the excitement of it all.

Henley Standard TV came to cover the performance, as did a film Reporter from the Federation of Small Businesses. They are running a feature on our Living Advent Calendar as they see it as a valuable and innovative way for local businesses to connect with each other, and with the whole community, and see it as a potential tool to assist with town centre regeneration projects in other towns and boroughs.

Every evening Dec 1st - 24th, 6.15 to 6.30pm
