Highlights

Yet again an audience of well over 100 warmly clad fans of the Living Advent Calendar enjoyed a surprise performance and surprise Guest to open proceedings. In a different slant to many Nativity Plays, the team from Christ Church on Reading Road had a cast of adults and delivered an engaging retelling of the familiar story with a gentle sense of humour. Afterwards they offered a very warm welcome inside, with mince pies, mulled wine and spiced hot apple juice, supported by Partners for the evening Kench and Co, Accountants.

The Lord Lieutenant, Tim Stevenson, and his wife Marion were the evening’s special Surprise Guests, expressing their delight and support for this Henley ‘first’. In his words of welcome at the start, the Lord Lieutenant was full of praise for the venture and told the audience that he believed it would be highly beneficial for other market towns in the county to take it up too.
