For the first indoors event of this year’s Henley Living Advent Calendar, the audience were treated to a winter wonderland by the host venue, the River & Rowing Museum. Having congregated in the foyer, where they were treated to warm mince pies courtesy of the night’s partner, Chocolate Theatre Café, the audience were then greeted by event organiser Richard Rodway and beckoned through the (advent) doors to the riverside function room, which was beautifully dressed and lit to the theme of “the Snowman and the Snowdog”.
The night’s performance was by the children of Muffin Hurst’s Henley Children’s Theatre, who treated the audience to some festive favourites before ending on “Pantomime”, with a nod to HCT’s forthcoming “Puss in Boots” production at Kenton Theatre (30th Dec – 4th Jan).
Richard Rodway and the Mayor Ken Arlett then provided over the nightly raffle, with proceeds going to the museum charity, and one lucky child taking home the “snowman” soft toy as a prize,
