Living Advent Calendar 2022
Night #18 was intended to be staged in Market Place, an extended set featuring 3 performers. The bad weather had forced the organisers to stage the second half of the show in the Town Hall. But when it came to setting up, the weather was so bad, the decision was made to take all 3 performers indoors, where audience congregated. They were treated to delicious sausage rolls and mulled wine, courtesy of the night's hosts The Old Bell of Bell Street...
The audience made their way across the frosty flood lit cricket pitch to the pavilion for night #17, where Nicola (Baker Bakes) Taylor was waiting with baked treats and a hot drink. The night was a fundraiser for Wyfold Riding For The Disabled.
At 6:15 p.m., Richard Rodway introduced The Tonyx Barbershoip Quartet with a fun and festive set...
The final of 6 new venues to this year's event, The Eyot Centre hosted night #16, in partnership with River & Rowing Museum, with proceeds going to both charities, aided by some impressive raffle prizes, and delicious spicy cuisine and drink served up by The Happy Gurkha.
The audience were then treated to a a great set by "Cracking Up" led by Mike Rowbottom, who has appeared in the Living Advent in several guises over the years...
